Welcome to Abitt Privacy Policy.

At Abitt AS (“Abitt”) we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is designed to be transparent in describing what data we collect, how we collect it and how we use that information. This policy coveres our practices in connection with information that we collect through our mobile apps (the “Apps”) and websites operated by Abitt (the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy is also part of the Terms of Use that explain your rights and responsibilities, as well as Abitt’s, when using our services and sites.

By providing Personal Information to us, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

We conciously minimize the amount of data we collect from you. If some information does not add value to providing better services to our users then we try to avoid collecting and storing that information.

We collect the following personal data from adults when using our apps or services:

  • Name (A user name)
  • Email address

We collect the following non-personal data from the apps and our websites:

  • Unique device identifier
  • IP address
  • Time spent in a game
  • Which game parts are accessed
  • Progress made in a game
  • Achievements

Additionally, we may use browser cookies to deliver and analyze our services. For example, remember your choices or count how many time a page is viewed.

How we collect and process information

We collect your information through our Apps and Services. This information is asked when parents:

  • Register for an account with us online
  • Subscribe to one of our physical or digital subscriptions
  • Complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our products
  • Subscribe to a newsletter or alert
  • Request technical support

All the required information is marked clearly to let the user know without which we will not be able to offer our Apps or Website functionality as intended.

We also collect Metadata that is collected automatically from a device or a computer that you use. This data is required for us to provide you services or to improve our services.

We use the following third-parties to process your data or provide services:

  • Microsoft Azure (azure.microsoft.com/en-us/overview/trusted-cloud/privacy/)
  • SendGrid by Twilio (twilio.com/legal/privacy)

We may receive your non-personal data indirectly from the following third-party analytics providers. These third parties do not share your user data; they are used to support the operation of our apps (respective privacy policies are noted below).

  • Unity (unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy)

We use the following third-party analytics providers in relation to parents only:

  • Facebook Analytics (facebook.com/policy.php)
  • Google Analytics (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Firebase Analytics (policies.google.com/privacy)

Our collection of data from children

Our apps collect user generated content from children, including drawings and audio recordings, and saves them on our servers to display back to parents in the respective Parent’s app. This content is not shared publicly at any time.

We also record game play statistics as listsed in the section “Information we collect” to be able to provide information to the parents or show the information to the children. We do not share this information to any third parties.

How we use your information

We work with companies that follow this privacy policy and agree not to use your information for any other purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your order(s) and manage your account
  • Provide technical support
  • Understand your use of our sites and apps
  • Help us operate, analyze, and improve our sites and services
  • Contact you about new services and features
  • Send push notifications if consent has been given
  • Let you know about specials offers on other products we think you might like

Storing your information

Abitt uses generally accepted security measures and safeguards to keep the data it collects secure. We require that the third parties we work with do the same.

These measures and safeguards include:

  • Limiting access to the data to those persons who need it to complete their work for Abitt
  • Following the standard practices in security
  • Storing personal information in secure operating environments

Your information is retained as long as necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We also keep information as otherwise required by law.

Abitt cannot and does not guarantee and does not accept liability for unintentional disclosure.

Where we store your information

The information we maintain may be stored both within and outside of the United States and Canada. As part of the services and products we offer and the third-party services we use (e.g., payment processors), the information you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside these areas.

If we transfer your information outside of these areas, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that any personal data relating to you will continue to be adequately protected. By using our sites and services, you consent to such transfer(s) as necessary.

How to Update or Remove Your Information

Abitt keeps your content for as long as necessary to provide its services. If you want to opt out of services, or review or delete you or your child’s information, please contact us at privacy@abitt.com.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may change or update this policy at any time based on updates in our apps and services or based on lawful requirements. Thus we advise our users to review the Privacy Policy periodically. The changes are effective immediately after they are published on this page and as indicated by the date at the top of the page.
